Reports to: Night Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager

Scope: Primarily responsible for elevating the guest experience, following the series of hotel overnight policies and procedures, executing the standards of the hotel and maintaining and settling guest accounts in a manner that is consistent with the standards and policies of The Peninsula New York.

Responsibilities.

1. Essential Duties

• Greet and register guests upon their arrival at the hotel

• Print and execute overnight reports and checklists

• Escort guest to rooms, providing a hotel overview/orientation and arrange for check out in accordance with hotel procedure

• Ensure strong radio communication with various overnight departments

• Perform a variety of clerical and office duties in coordination with the front office and other hotel departments

• Effective and necessary email communication is required

• Pleasantly provide general information and assistance to guests

• Adhere to all Peninsula New York guest service standards

• Follow the accounting policies and procedures at the Peninsula New York

  B. Additional Duties

• Provides concierge services as needed

• Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately

• Performs other job-related duties as directed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, hospitality, business administration or related field preferred

• At least one year previous hotel experience preferred

• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, be able to work well under pressure with a variety of people, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, understand and work well with cash and basic accounting principles.

• Computer operations experience (keyboarding skills)

• Must possess an aptitude for guest service and have a cheerful, positive attitude.

• Must be fluent in English. Fluency in at least one foreign language preferred.
