Petroleum Engineer I- Unconventionals
Saudi Aramco, long known for its leadership in oil exploration, production, and refining, is seeking experienced professionals to join the growing Unconventional Resources exploration efforts. We have an immediate requirement for experienced Petroleum Engineer with relevant unconventional expertise. Of primary interest is experience in hydraulic fracturing, completion design and production optimization. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring appropriate well completion designs, cost-effective fracturing programs tailored to numerous reservoirs, and studies on related projects. As a Petroleum Engineer I, the incumbent will also be a resource as a technical mentor to other Production Engineering staff and fresh graduates within the team.
Within guidelines provided by the Unit Supervisor or Division Head, incumbent will be involved in aggressive field development plans with a high level of drilling and completion activities together with analyzing and optimizing performance of horizontal, multi-frac wells in addition to:
•Own the quality and implementation of optimization tools.
•Own the water chemistry issues.
•Work closely with the Surveillance organization.
•Provide input to pilot design and interpretation.
•Implement industry best practices and exchange of learnings with other similar unconventional gas assets.
A bachelor’s degree and or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of eight years of extensive experience as a Production Engineer. The incumbent should have the ability to multitask, prioritize projects and be available for occasional field coverage. He must be proficient in PE software applications and simulation software, including: Prosper, Saphir, WellCat “tubing movement” and MFrac (or equivalent) with the ability to perform nodal analysis.
a)Design well completion and propose alternatives if required.
b)Design, execute, QA/QC and perform post-job analysis for acid and proppant fracturing treatments.
c)Determine the optimum production rate for wells.
d)Plan, monitor and validate surveillance activities for wells to ensure well integrity.
e)Perform studies and projects assuring adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of problems in areas, including stimulation, production, well design and testing programs, reservoir flow properties and fluid studies.

After a candidate submits an online resume for a posted job opening, the resume is reviewed by a recruiter at ASC. If a candidate possesses the required qualifications, the resume is transmitted to the Saudi Aramco hiring organization. In general, the following recruitment process can be expected: Application If a candidate appears to be qualified on the basis of his or her resume, the Saudi Aramco hiring organization will request that the candidate complete an Application for Employment. Saudi Aramco selects the candidates to interview and requests ASC to coordinate scheduling. Interviews may be conducted at ASC offices, via video conferencing, or at recruiting events worldwide. Orientation Because changing jobs is a major decision for most families, both candidates and spouses are required to attend an orientation program, which addresses topics such as lifestyle, housing, schools, and other valuable information about working for Saudi Aramco and living in Saudi Arabia. If your orientation is in Houston, ASC provides the candidate and spouse with advanced roundtrip airfare and hotel reservations. Meals and certain miscellaneous expenses are covered in lump sum at the time of interview to assure that a candidate's out-of-pocket expense is minimal. Offer Upon Saudi Aramco's authorization, ASC will extend a written, conditional offer of employment. This offer specifies the conditions that must be met by the candidate for employment to take place and outlines the compensation package being offered. Conditions of Employment The conditions that must be satisfied for employment to commence include: undergoing a medical examination and background investigation, obtaining confirmation from Saudi Aramco that housing is available, the dependent children must be accepted to Saudi Aramco Expatriate Schools (SAES), as applicable, and the candidate must be able to secure a visa to work and reside in Saudi Arabia from the Saudi Arabian government.
