If you are our College Intern – Mechanical Engineer in Singapore, you will have a chance to support the following intern project
Title:
Design and Development of Printer Mechanical System
Description:
This is a project involving the development of printer mechanism comprising of static structure and dynamic systems. The work comprises the design of mechanism that will pick media and transport it along the media path with high accuracy and reliability. Opportunity to understand and learn HP product development life cycle.
The tasks includes:
Design, test and troubleshooting of transmission, paper feed, motor & encoder control and paper pick separation mechanism. Exposure to design of experiment methodology and other tools of analysis for reliability and robustness of design.
What is the responsibility and deliverable of this intern?
The intern will at the end of the internship work through and learn the followings:
- Develop design and test plans with HP engineers, collect and analyze test data.
- Make technical assessment on findings and recommend path forward.
- Make design changes using HP CAD system (One space).
- Verify design solution and effectiveness
- Participate in design review, presentation of solution to the technical team
There will be an experience engineer assigned as mentor to guide the intern along. Self-learning of CAD application and other analysis tools is expected.
Qualifications
Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:
- Mechanical Engineering or related engineering.
- Passionate in mechanism design.
- Strong technical background and analytical capability.
- Knowledge in Mechanical 3D CAD software (Pro-E, PTC Onespace, Solidworks) will be advantage.
- Good communicate skill.
